Easy Chocolate Clusters

I have always been a chocolate-covered-raisin lover. If you like chocolate-covered things, this 10-minute treat is for you. It’s an easy homemade treat gift, has mostly whole foods in it, and really hits the spot for chocolate lovers.

Combine some nuts and seeds. Any will work. I used chopped almonds, pepitas, dried cranberries and raisins. Stir them together in melted chocolate, and you’re mostly done.

Spoon the mixture into a mini muffin tin, or make little heaps on a piece of parchment or waxed paper. Let chill in the fridge or freezer until the melted chocolate has hardened.

These treats are a 10-minute treat to make, and fairly low in added sugar.

Chewy and crunchy and melty chocolate all in one bite? Kind of like sweet and salty, this combo of textures is amazing!

Easy Chocolate Clusters

The perfect sweet-but-kind-kind-of-nutritious mostly-whole-food treat that takes 5 minutes to make!
Prep Time 10 minutes
Servings 16 clusters

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup mixed nuts and seeds (I used 1/2 cup chopped almonds, 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1/4 cup dried fruit (I used dried cranberries and raisins)
  • 3/4 cup vegan dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Toast the nuts and seeds briefly if you'd like. I microwaved my almonds for one minute to make them a bit toasted and flavorful.
  • Mix the nuts, seeds, and dried fruit in a bowl.
  • Melt the dark chocolate chips in a microwaveable bowl or on the stove. I microwaved them about 60 seconds, stirred, then 45 more seconds.
  • Pour the nuts and seeds into the melted chocolate and stir until all coated.
  • Scoop into a mini muffin pan, or make piles on a piece of parchment or waxed paper. Put into the fridge or freezer for a few minutes until chocolate has hardened.
  • Enjoy when you need a sweet treat that has the fiber and nutrition of whole nuts and seeds!
These make a great addition to a holiday treat plate, or can be put in a small bag with a ribbon as a gift.
