Mini Snickers Bites

Dates are the healthiest super sweet treat, and they naturally taste like caramel. Combine them with peanut butter and chocolate, and you’ve got the healthiest mini Snickers Bar that is truly decadent!

Maybe only make as many as you’re willing to eat in one sitting? It takes quite a bit of self control to leave any of these in the freezer for later.


I honestly am not even tempted by regular candy because of how much I love my healthy versions of treats. Maybe they have just as many calories as their factory-made equivalent, but they have actual nutrition and simple ingredients, and the taste is superior. So, I prefer them any day! I didn’t have any crushed peanuts on the day I took these pictures, but that would be what makes them like a true Snickers bar. Use whatever you have, they will be amazing!

Incredibly simple and decadent!

  • 8 large, soft medjool dates
  • 1/2 cup dairy-free semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 TBSP peanut butter
  • crushed peanuts, shredded coconut, or granola for topping
  1. Slice each date in half length-wise and remove the pit. Set the halves on a plate.

  2. Spoon a small amount of peanut butter into the cavity of each date. Smooth it flat.

  3. Melt the chocolate chips for about 1 minute in the microwave. Stir until smooth.

  4. Drizzle the chocolate over the dates (or, dunk the whole thing and cover them in chocolate! You'll need more chocolate though).

  5. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts for a true Snickers flavor, or shredded coconut or granola.

  6. Set in the fridge or freezer for at least 15 minutes to set up. Delicious chilled or frozen.

  1. I have not made these yet but a healthy snickers bar OMG. I have not been tempted by Snickers in the store during my wfpb journey but these…………..these are gonna be so good. I think I will take your advice and only make as many as I am going to eat at that setting. hey look delish. I gave it 5 stars because all of your recipes are the best.
