Apple Nachos with Carmel Sauce

A very easy all-fruit treat that is very fun to make and eat!

Ingredients

Carmel Sauce

  • 8 medjool dates (or 12 deglet noor dates)
  • 1/2 cup canned coconut milk (or other milk of choice)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Apple Nachos

  • 4 apples
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter or almond butter
  • shredded coconut
  • chopped nuts
  • dried cranberries
  • mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Blend all the carmel sauce ingredients together until very smooth. 

  2. Arrange apples slices on a plate. Drizzle carmel sauce and then peanut or almond butter over the apples. Sprinkle with desired toppings--coconut, chopped nuts, chocolate chips, etc. 

Recipe Notes

If dates are hard, soak in hot water for 10 minutes first. Drain before blending.
