microwave or double boiler for melting chocolate chips
Ingredients
1lbstrawberries, washed and patted dry
1banana
3/4 cupchocolate chips or other melting chocolate
Sprinkles of choice (choose one or multiple)
slivered almonds
crushed pistachios
hemp seeds
chopped walnuts
chopped pumpkin seeds
chopped pecans
shredded coconut
Instructions
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, wax paper, or a silicone mat.
Cut the stems out of the strawberries and slice them into even slices to create a petal-shape. Peel and cut the banana into slices that are 1/4 inch thick or thinner.
Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl for about 60 seconds, stir until smooth. Or, use a double boiler on the stove.
Spoon 8 thin, flat circles of chocolate onto the lined baking sheet, about 2-3 inches in diameter.
Put one slice of banana into the center of each circle.
Press strawberry slices around the banana center, creating a flower shape.
Drizzle a little more chocolate on top of the banana and the center of the strawberries. Then sprinkle any chopped nuts or "sprinkles" of choice.
Place in the freezer for 10-15 minutes, until chocolate is hard. Then transfer to the fridge so the fruit doesn't freeze rock hard. Keep in the fridge until ready to serve.
